Yamaha, Greater Noida: C purlins and box sections in 72 hours after a layout change

A critical layout change at the Yamaha manufacturing facility in Greater Noida called for a mixed set of C purlins and box sections in revised thicknesses, needed on site within 72 hours.

We ran parallel slitting operations and two profiles at once to make every section to the consultant's revised specification. The complete order was delivered inside 72 hours, inspection found zero deviation, and the consultant issued a Zero-Deviation Certificate.

The challenge

The Yamaha project was already in execution when a critical change to the layout came through. It created an urgent need for a mixed set of C purlins and box sections in revised thicknesses.

The revised material had to be on site within 72 hours. That left zero tolerance for production delays, dimensional inaccuracies or any departure from what the consultant had approved, because a single deviation could have held up the whole project.

What was at risk

  • Production delays
  • Dimensional errors
  • Consultant non-compliance
  • The overall project timeline

How we handled it

MNF Metals responded with an agile, technically sound production strategy, built so that speed would not cost precision. Strong coordination between our technical and production teams made sure every section kept strictly to the revised, consultant-approved specification and was delivered within the committed time.

  • Parallel slittingThe coil was slit in parallel operations, so the strip for the different profiles and thicknesses was ready at the same time.
  • Two profiles running at onceDual-profile running let us manufacture multiple profiles and thicknesses at the same time, without compromising precision.
  • Held to the revised specificationThe technical team checked the sections against the consultant-approved specification, and the full order went out within the committed 72 hours.

The result

  • Delivered within 72 hoursThe complete order of mixed C purlins and box sections reached the site in the committed time.
  • Zero deviation at inspectionEvery section matched the revised specification when it was inspected.
  • Zero-Deviation CertificateThe consultant issued a certificate confirming there was no deviation.
  • No disruption on siteWork on the project carried on without a break.

Why clients choose MNF

Late engineering changes are common on industrial projects, and this job shows how we deal with them. We turned round a revised schedule in 72 hours and still matched what the consultant had approved, section for section.

That is why clients rely on us as their manufacturing partner for industrial projects where time, quality and consultant approval are non-negotiable.
