The founder
Manu Gupta: founder and director at MNF, author of Road to Success
Manu Gupta is the founder and director of MNF Metals & Forming, the roll-forming and pre-engineered building plant in Rajasthan that has supplied roofing, purlins and complete sheds to airports, metro corridors, bottling plants and about 2,500 factories and warehouses since 2005. He wrote a book on why EPC projects slip.

Who he is
Manu Gupta is the founder and director of MNF Metals & Forming Private Limited, the roll-forming and pre-engineered building manufacturer at Khushkhera, Bhiwadi, in Alwar district of Rajasthan. The company was set up on 4 August 2005 as a trading company, and roll forming at its Khushkhera plant started on 7 July 2011. Every specification letter, catalogue and certificate the company issues carries his name and his title, Director.
The plant rolls colour coated roofing and cladding sheets in 2 Rib, 3 Rib and 4 Rib standing seam profiles, composite deck profile, C purlins from 1.0 mm and Z purlins from 1.2 mm, up to 3.0 mm, and the flashings, gutters and trims that go with them, on galvalume and galvanised coil. Around that it designs and erects complete pre-engineered buildings, roll-forms customers' own coil as job work, and through MNF Projects LLP audits, repairs and reroofs existing sheds. Capacity is over 1,500 tonnes a month, and the company has supplied more than 20 lakh square metres of roofing to about 2,500 industrial and corporate customers.
MNF Metals & Forming's ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and GMP certificates cover the design, manufacture, supply and installation of colour coated metal roofing and cladding. MNF Projects LLP, which runs PEB delivery, erection and roof care, holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 in its own name. The numbers and scans are on the certifications page. It is a member of CII, the Khushkhera Karoli Industrial Association and the Bhiwadi Industrial Association.
What the plant has seen
The jobs behind his view of EPC work are written up on the projects pages: a bottling plant at Kosi whose secondary steel vendor defaulted mid-project, the Delhi to Meerut NCRTC stations taken over after other vendors left, Ayodhya Airport on a contract with penalty clauses, a purlin order for Yamaha at Greater Noida that changed after the layout did, a pharma roof with several changes of slope, and the Lenskart plant at Bhiwadi, where the site design changed at the last minute.
What he writes about
His book, Road to Success: 5 Game Changing EPC Strategies, is about why EPC projects slip on cost or time and what the person who signs the contract can do about it. It takes five problems in turn (cost overruns, schedule delays, supply chain disruption, quality and risk), and the book page has a short summary of each.
The guides on this site are written by our team from what the plant sees, and checked and approved by our Plant Head before they go up, with figures from Indian standards and our own spec sheets:
- How to choose roofing sheet thickness and coating
- PEB or conventional steel shed: how to decide
- Minimum roof pitch, and why metal roofs leak at the laps
- How often should an industrial roof be inspected?
Where else he appears
- Industry Outlook profiled the company in its manufacturing section, describing him as CEO (his title in the company is Director), and named it among the Top 10 Pre-Engineered Building Manufacturers of 2024.
- India 5000 Best MSME Awards lists MNF Metals & Forming among its winners in 2024 and 2025.
